Why shipping weight changes the decision
A low row price can stop looking attractive when the item is heavy, rigid, or packed in a large box. Shipping systems may use actual weight, volumetric weight, route-specific minimums, or other service rules. A spreadsheet rarely contains every input needed for a final total.
Use weight as a comparison field. If two similar finds answer the same product need, the lighter or more compact option may deserve closer attention. That is a browsing insight, not a promise that it will be cheaper to ship.
